Meet Certainty

Certainty Home Inspections has three licensed home inspectors & has been in business for 7 years.

Licensing of home inspectors only sets a minimum standard. Much like being up to code, any less would be illegal. That’s why William Troutman, Cory Kern and Mike Stout continue their work as members of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).

Certainty Home Inspectors:

 

William has been involved in some aspect of construction most of his life. William was a Human Resource Assistant Manager for 7 years at a local manufacturing plant. He has managed over 10 rental properties and remodeled over 40 homes. He has actively been a home inspector for 7 years and enjoys working with people. He is currently licensed in Indiana. He attends church at the Southern Hills Church in Salem Indiana. He has been married for 27 years and is a father of three. Together, him and his wife Sherri, run their business as a true team. Two of his three children currently work in the business with him on a part time basis.

Cory has worked in the construction field his entire life and has been a top inspector with Certainty for over four years. He is a newlywed who loves spending time with his wife, Malerie and enjoys hunting in his free time. He is an active member of the Scottsburg First Southern Baptist Church where he enjoys helping others. Cory is a full time home inspector, licensed in both Indiana and Kentucky. He is dedicated to protecting each client in the home inspection industry.

 

Mike has been a backhoe operator for several years and grew up in the construction industry.  Mike is our 3rd home inspector who serves the Indiana and Kentucky side of the river.  Mike has an extensive knowledge of septic tank systems and has  installed them for years.   A native of Southern Indiana, Mike enjoys hunting in his free time. Mike is dedicated to helping each client to know the condition of the home they are buying.

 

 

Certainty Home Inspections Office Staff:

Sherri has been an office manager for Certainty Home Inspections for the last seven years and works daily in the office to provide all the information the inspectors and realtors need to get the job done. Her communication and scheduling skills shows that she truly cares about the service you get when having your home inspection done with Certainty. Sherri is the mother of three and enjoys working with her family in their business and enjoys the time spent with her family.

 

Will is a certified radon tech for Certainty as well as our IT tech for our computers. Will has been involved with computers for almost 10 years and keeps all aspects of our computers and our business synced together. He is married and a father of two and enjoys spending time with his one and three year olds. He enjoys learning about the latest and most advanced technologies in the computer industry.

 
 

Shelby works in the office part time and helps her parents with the marketing and social media part of the business. She is a third year college student who is studying to be an elementary school teacher and middle school math teacher. In her spare time she coaches Eastern High School’s middle school dance team. She is engaged to be married next November before her fiancee’ Matt leaves to go over seas with the military.
 
 

Kayla works part time in the office and helps her parents with the marketing and accounting side of the business. She is an Arts graduate from the University of Southern Indiana.   She is currently enrolled in Indiana University Southeast where she is continuing her studies to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts.  She will then be applying to Graduate schools to receive her teaching degree to become a Fine Arts Professor.   She enjoys painting, drawing, and reading in her spare time and will soon be married to her fiancee’ Jon.

 
Samantha is the newest member of our team. Samantha will be assisting Will & Sherri in the office so please be sure to welcome her. We have known Samantha for years and are looking forward to her becoming a full time member of our staff. Samantha is a very out going young lady and enjoys playing softball in her spare time.
